Fishing is starting to get good with large Chopper Bluefish showing up in the southern haunts! Speckled trout have also been caught recently around the Tangier Sound and Pocomoke sound. The 3 keys often for the specks is to find clean water, structure, and current! Also, we are catching a few nice striped bass with most fish falling into the slot size but we are finding a few fish over 28” which are fat and healthy and as always fun to release!

Casting Artificial Lures around structure has been our go to over the last few weeks with 3/8 ounce Jig heads and DOA 4” paddle tails for Striped bass and Trout. As we move into areas where Bluefish are present we switch over to Zman paddle tails due to their toothy destruction and the known elasticity of the Zmans!

Large White Perch have also been plentiful using soft crabs or fish bites with top and bottom rigs have really made some enjoyable memories for these young anglers!

Give us a call if you would like to get out on the water and have some fun exploring this beautiful area called Tangier Sound! 410-708-1014.
